Supported Devices

The basic protocols for handling actions on devices in the application are SNMP and IPMI.

Servers

The application offers support for all servers with access to IPMI version 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0. Using the IPMI protocol, you can perform boot, reboot and shutdown actions. In addition, EasyDCIM supports JAVA KVM console for such servers as:

  • American Megatrends
  • Dell Drac 5
  • Dell Drac 6 (only the panel with remote login, requires the appropriate firmware version)
  • Dell Drac 7
  • Dell Drac 8
  • P iLO 3
  • HP iLO 4
  • Supermicro

Switches & Routers

EasyDCIM performs operations on the switch using the SNMP protocol. If your device is compatible with the version 1, 2 or 3 of SNMP, then it is most likely supported by the application. The support covers basic power outlets management, that is “outletOn”, “outletOff” and “outletReboot” actions. Moreover, the information on the total power consumption is collected for the entire PDU device. Some examples of supported devices are listed below (please note that even if a particular device is not present on the list, it does not necessarily mean it is not supported):

  • APC AP7920 - Rack PDU
  • APC AP7932 Rack PDU
  • APC AP8941 - Rack PDU 2G
  • APC AP8965 - Rack PDU 2G
